On July 1, 2016, Grayson Bankshares, Inc. and Cardinal Bankshares Corporation completed a merger with and into Parkway Acquisition Corp., a new bank holding company formed for the purpose of effecting this combination. With the completion of the merger, the subsidiary banks of Grayson National Bank and Bank of Floyd combined into one national bank regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Our new bank rebranded as Skyline National Bank in March of 2017. On July 1, 2018, Parkway Acquisition Corp acquired Great State Bank from Wilkesboro, NC. Effective January 1, 2023, Parkway Acquisition Corp. changed its name to Skyline Bankshares, Inc.
